The first commercial Scrapbook Store in South Africa opened its doors in January 2003 dedicated to providing a large selection of Scrapbooking materials. At the beginning of March 2007 the Willows store was relocated to Design Square (previously BROOKLYN SQUARE) offering a HUGE VARIETY of scrapbook materials all under ONE ROOF ! Workshops for beginners to the more advanced Scrapbookers are available daily where one can learn and apply new techniques in developing your own special memory albums---- Crop Sessions are also on offer where you can scrap at your own time using our equipment and workshop. The storestaff team includes Serena, Marlize, Eugene, Gugu, Sam, Khensani with class instructors Desire, Marlize, Auntie Des & Serena ! The Scrapbook Company is a family-owned business managed by self-confessed Scrapbook Addict, Marlize. After years of working in the hospitality industry helping her husband with the books while her passion for Scrapbooking never stopped growing, Marlize decided that it was time to expand. After intensive research, an almost never-ending search for the ideal location and a week in Viva! Las Vegas to attend a Scrapbook seminar, the first commercial Scrapbook store was born in good ol’ Pretoria. … And what a trip it’s been since!! The Scrapbook Company
is also a member of a US based association drawing from the combined
experience and community of over 300 Scrapbook Retailers Worldwide and
directly accessing over 300 vendors, ensuring that you, the customer,
will be the first to receive news on the newest products available on
the market. Through the group buying advantages we are also able to offer
you the best prices possible. The Scrapbook Company is a fully independent
store though, build from scratch by South Africans. We do not have a catalog simply because our inventory is updated so frequently and it will be cost prohibitive to print a catalog- you can however be rest assured that we are dedicated to sourcing the latest and greatest scrapbook materials as they emerge on the market. HOW TO FIND US in DESIGN SQUARE: ( Next to brooklyn mall)Via the N1 Highway (east) and Duncan street From JHB on the N1 highway towards Pietersburg: take the Atterbury offramp (the same one you would take to visit the huge MENLYN SHOPPING CENTRE) Turn left and keep to your left - (away from MENLYN), the road forks but keep left into CHARLES STREET cross ..hmm..cant remember now...5 or so traffic lights- but turn left into famous DUNCAN street-Drive around the Brooklyn circle and turn left down Middle street (as you go around the circle, turn left into Middle street before MUGG and BEAN on your left) On your right, you will see MITSUBISHI and to your left is DESIGN SQUARE- you may turn left into the parking lot or you may choose to turn left at the next traffic light ( COFI restaurant will be on your left on the corner) - turn left into Veale street and immediately left again into the underground parking- You will find us on FLOOR 2- same level as CAPPUCINOS, Pick and Pay, Ocean Basket, Wimpy, Tribeca etc etc- bring the hubby & kids (they can go see a movie next door or have a burger while you scrap away!!)
